The world of costume is a mysterious and magical place. Costume helps to transform an actor into a "character" and enhances the performance.

My interest in costume is all encompassing – from historical pieces through to modern designs with a whimsical and futuristic slant. I regularly visit the theatre, cinema and art galleries, which allows me to appreciate other costume designers' work and skills.

Particular areas of interest include: textile experimentation, beading and embellishment, corsetry, millinery and construction.
